Business & shared sponsorship

Give your community a place to pause before they pay.

Your business can fund free access to PauseThePitch™ for residents through a sponsor-branded portal. Support practical financial, digital, and information literacy across a city, county, or agreed statewide service area. No participating institution is required.

A practical sponsorship

Fund access to a service, not just space for an advertisement.

01

A tangible community benefit

Residents can examine side-hustle, course, coaching, and business-opportunity pitches before committing money or time.

02

Recognition for your support

The portal can acknowledge the business or sponsor group making access possible, with the presentation agreed before launch.

03

No platform to build

PauseThePitch manages the technology. Sponsors can introduce the resource through their own locations, websites, and community channels.

A practical example

Several local businesses, one citywide resource

Illustrative sponsorship model: a group of local businesses jointly funds a 12-month portal for the residents of one city. They agree on their contributions and appoint a lead organizer. Residents can use the sponsored portal from home; a library or government agency does not have to participate.

  • Which city, county, or statewide area will the agreement cover?
  • Who coordinates sponsor decisions and payment responsibilities?
  • How will the businesses introduce the portal and recognize each contribution?

This describes a possible arrangement, not an existing sponsorship or a promised usage level. Geographic access can cover every resident in the agreed area; the processing allowance and funding commitments are specified separately.

Why research matters

Reported losses give the problem context.

Online opportunities range from useful offers to unsupported claims. A persuasive video or landing page is a reason to examine the evidence, not proof that an offer is good or bad.

Historical context: the FTC reported $750.6 million in the broader 2024 category, rounded here to $751 million. The job and employment-agency figures are a subcategory, not an additional amount. Reports do not measure all affected people or time lost. These statistics are not a measure of PauseThePitch’s effectiveness and do not imply FTC endorsement. How it works

Choose the community. Agree on the sponsorship. Launch.

  1. Define a 12-month sponsorshipChoose citywide, countywide, or agreed statewide access. Confirm the service area, processing allowance, and funding responsibilities.
  2. Set the recognition and controlsAgree on sponsor branding, co-sponsor recognition where relevant, privacy, reporting, printing, and saving settings.
  3. Review before residents use itReview the configured portal and resolve the agreed launch requirements before it goes live to the community.
  4. Introduce the community resourceShare the portal through your website, locations, newsletters, or community advertising. We operate and maintain the platform throughout the agreed term.
Scope and controls

One sponsor or several. A clearly defined community.

Single-business sponsorship

One business funds the annual service and receives the agreed recognition on its sponsored portal. No participating institution is necessary.

Shared sponsorship

Several businesses share the cost of one portal. The agreement identifies a lead organizer, each funding responsibility, and the recognition arrangement.

Citywide, countywide, or statewide

Access can extend to all residents within the agreed geographic boundary, including at home. It is not limited to a sponsor’s customers or a single location.

Reach and allowance are different

Unlimited locations within the agreed area does not mean unlimited AI processing. The funded allowance and any additional usage are agreed in advance.

Common questions

Before you decide.

Does a library, college, or government agency have to participate?

No. A business can contract directly for a sponsored community portal. An institution can participate when that is the preferred arrangement, but it is not required.

Can several businesses co-sponsor the same portal?

Yes. Co-sponsors can share the cost of one geographic portal. Before launch, the agreement must establish funding commitments, payment responsibilities, the lead organizer, and how each sponsor is recognized.

Is it free for everyone in the sponsored city?

Citywide scope makes access available at no direct charge to all residents within the agreed city boundary, including from home. The service agreement separately defines the processing allowance and access settings.

Can sponsors influence reports or receive resident contact lists?

Sponsor funding does not control research findings or turn reports into endorsements. Sponsorship does not include identifiable resident activity or lead lists; any agreed sponsor reporting should use aggregate information.

Will sponsorship guarantee leads, sales, or publicity?

No. The offer is a funded educational community resource with agreed recognition, not guaranteed marketing results. Actual awareness and use depend in part on how the service is introduced.

Is this a charitable donation?

This page describes a paid sponsorship service, not a promise of charitable or tax-deductible treatment. Any grant or charitable funding route needs its own eligibility review.

Research support, with clear limits.

PauseThePitch uses AI-assisted analysis to organize claims, costs, assumptions, evidence gaps, risk indicators, and questions for further research. Reports can be incomplete or mistaken; important facts need independent verification. This is an educational resource, not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, a seller certification, or a guarantee of outcomes. See our editorial standards and privacy policy.

A practical next step

Request a sponsorship overview for your community.

Tell us the city, county, or state you would like to serve and whether one business or a group would sponsor access. We will outline a proposed annual arrangement, recognition, and launch decisions. A limited pilot can be discussed as a fallback.
